When a customer cancels their order or reduces its value through Editr, the refund is processed automatically. You choose whether that refund goes back to the original payment method or is issued as store credit.

Refund methods

Original payment method (Recommended)Refund is sent back to the card, wallet, or other method used at checkout
Store creditRefund is issued as Shopify store credit the customer can use on a future order
Original payment method is fairest for customers and mirrors standard refund behavior. Use this unless you have a specific reason not to. Store credit keeps revenue within your store. Useful if you already run a store credit program and your customers are familiar with it.

Set the refund method

Open Editr settings

From your Editr admin, go to Settings.

Find the Refund options section

Scroll to the Refund options section.

Choose a method

Select Original payment method or Store credit.

Save

Save your settings.
