If editing blocks aren’t appearing on your Order status or Thank you pages, check the causes below in order.

Quick diagnostics

  1. Open an incognito browser window
  2. Place a test order or view a recent Order status page
  3. Check whether the editing blocks render
  4. If not, continue troubleshooting below

1. Global toggle is off

Most common issue. If the global toggle in Editr is off, all blocks stay hidden regardless of theme setup. Check: In your Editr admin, look at the App status section on the homepage. It should show “On”. Fix: Toggle Show editing blocks to customers to on.

2. Blocks not added in the theme

Editing blocks don’t appear until you add them to your Order status or Thank you pages. Check: Open the checkout and accounts editor (Shopify admin → Settings → Checkout → Customize, or via the theme editor). Look for Editr blocks on the relevant page. Fix: Follow Adding editing blocks to your theme to add the blocks you want.

3. Changes made on the wrong theme

If you added blocks on a draft or duplicate theme that isn’t published, customers won’t see them. Check: In Online Store → Themes, confirm the theme marked Live is the one you edited. Fix: Either publish the theme you edited, or repeat the block setup on your live theme.

4. Browser caching

Shopify storefronts cache aggressively. Recent changes may not appear until the cache refreshes. Check: Test in an incognito window or a different browser. Fix: Clear your browser cache, or wait a few minutes and retest in incognito.
