# Time left countdown banner

> Show customers how long they have left to edit their order.

The **Time left countdown** block shows a live countdown of the remaining [editing window](/editr/guides/configuring-editr/editing-window). It gives customers clarity on when to make changes and reduces confusion when editing is no longer available.

## Banner states

The banner switches automatically between two states:

* **Info state.** Editing is available. Shows a countdown of the time remaining
* **Warning state.** Editing is no longer available. Shows a message that the window has closed

## Settings

The Time left countdown block has no block-level settings. The countdown duration comes from your global [editing window](/editr/guides/configuring-editr/editing-window).

## Where it appears

The Time left countdown block is available on both the Order Status page and the Thank You page. Position it independently by dragging it in the theme editor.
