# Customer notifications

> Send customers an email when their order is cancelled through Editr.

Customer notifications use your existing Shopify email templates to notify customers when their order changes. Currently, only order cancellation notifications are supported.

## Available notifications

| Notification        | Template used                          | Triggered when                               |
| ------------------- | -------------------------------------- | -------------------------------------------- |
| Order cancellations | Shopify's **Order cancelled** template | A customer cancels their order through Editr |

## Turn on notifications

    From your Editr admin, go to **Settings**.

    Scroll to the **Customer notifications** section.

  <Step title="Select notifications">
    Check the box next to each notification you want to send.

  <Step title="Save">Save your settings.</Step>

## Edit your email templates

Editr uses your store's existing notification templates, so you can customize them alongside all your other Shopify notifications.

From your Shopify admin, go to **Settings → Notifications → Customer notifications**, and edit the **Order cancelled** template.
